A 4 - hour walking tour through the Gothic Quarter and the Jewish neighborhood El Call, exploring Barcelona’s iconic medieval landmarks together with the rich history of its Jewish community.
This tour invites you to step inside the quiet courtyards and winding streets of old Barcelona, where layers of Gothic, Roman, and Jewish history shape the very spirit of the city.
We begin near Plaça Catalunya and enter the old city through its historic gateway — La Rambla. We’ll walk along the iconic boulevard, stop by the colourful Boqueria Market to see Catalan specialties, and admire the elegant Liceu Theatre.
Then we leave the crowds behind. I’ll guide you into the narrow streets to explore the city’s oldest layers: a hidden Roman road, a courtyard with original Roman columns, and the majestic Plaça del Rei, surrounded by the palaces of the Counts of Barcelona.
Our path leads us into the Jewish Quarter. Here we trace the layout of the medieval streets, visit the Ancient Synagogue, and talk about the community that lived here - its daily life, traditions, and the traces that remain.
We’ll also walk around the Gothic Cathedral and enjoy its architecture from different angles. And if you feel like taking a break, we can pause in a local café for coffee or a glass of wine.
Depending on your pace, we can finish near the Cathedral or continue toward the artistic El Born district to see the Palau de la Música. For those who enjoy a longer walk, we can even reach the old port, where the city opens to the sea.

What My Guests Are Saying
Eliza & David
We weren’t sure we could manage a long walk, but Evgenia set such an easy, steady pace that we stopped worrying within the first ten minutes. She somehow always noticed when one of us needed a short pauseб we ended up having a lovely coffee break in a tiny place we would never have found on our own. The Jewish Quarter was incredibly moving, but honestly, the whole walk felt relaxed and very personal. It never felt rushed or scripted. It was more like spending a few hours with someone who truly knows and loves this city. A wonderful experience.
Dr. Michael S. Cohen
I’ve studied Jewish history for many years, so I’m usually a bit skeptical about guided tours. With Evgenia, I felt in good hands almost immediately. She connected the broader history of Spain with the story of the Jewish community in El Call in a way that was clear, thoughtful, and never rushed. She gave context that made each stop feel important, not just another landmark. I left with a much stronger sense of Barcelona’s Jewish past. For anyone who wants depth, context, and a guide who truly knows her subject, she’s a rare find.
Deborah & Sam
We truly enjoyed walking through the city with Evgenia. She didn’t just share historical facts, though those were fascinating, she helped us feel the atmosphere of Barcelona. We tried a few sweets at the market and bought gifts from real local artisans, not the usual tourist shops. And I have no idea how she keeps her sense of direction in the old city. Without her, I’m pretty sure we would still be wandering those streets trying to find our way out
